Ezri Martinez Mata is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression through jazz performance, music production and visual storytelling. With a background in jazz studies and a passion for both tradition and innovation, he aims to create work that is expressive, idiomatic and forward thinking. Improvisation shapes his approach as a pianist and brings a sense of spontaneity to all of his projects. His focus is on making music and arrangements that are clear, engaging and practical. He values making ideas playable and effective and takes pride in helping musicians bring their charts to life in ways that feel inspiring and grounded.
He also brings music and technology together through multimedia projects. With skills in transcription, production and video editing, he works to present artists in visually compelling and sonically impactful ways. Overall, he seeks to support musicians, encourage creativity and continue growing as an artist and collaborator while helping others achieve their musical goals.
